3 Cara Bersihkan Virus 'Pemakan Hardisk'

Virus Stuxnet, atau dikenal juga dengan sebutan Winsta, melahap semua lahan kosong di hardisk hingga penuh. Menurut Alfons Tanujaya, analis antivirus dari Vaksincom, kepada detikINET, Jumat (30/7/2010), Indonesia adalah negara dengan korban Stuxnet terbanyak kedua di dunia setelah Iran.

Virus yang awalnya menyebar dari berbagai situs porno, program bajakan dan konten 'abu-abu' lainnya itu cukup meresahkan. Berikut adalah langkah-langkah membasmi virus itu, seperti dituturkan oleh analis antivirus Vaksincom Adi Saputra:

1. Menggunakan Dr Web CureIt

Adi menyarankan korban Winsta alias Stuxnet itu untuk mengunduh piranti lunak penghapus virus. Removal Tools bernama Dr.Web CureIt itu bisa diunduh dari situs FreeDrWeb.com

2. Perbaiki Registri

Kemudian, Adi menyarankan perbaikan pada regitri Windows yang sudah dimodifikasi oleh virus. Caranya, pertama-tama, salin script di bawah ini ke file Wordpad.

Kemudian, simpan file dengan nama 'repair.inf'. Gunakan pilihan Save as type menjadi Text Document agar tidak terjadi kesalahan. Lalu, klik kanan file 'repair.inf', pilih 'Install' dan restart komputer.

"Bersihkan temporary file, hal ini agar dapat mencegah sisa trojan yang mencoba aktif kembali. Gunakan tools seperti ATF Cleaner atau gunakan fitur Windows yaitu Disk Clean-Up," tulis Adi.

3. Solusi Darurat

Selain itu, berikut adalah script darurat yang bisa digunakan untuk mencegah agar Winsta tidak kembali menginfeksi. Simpan script berikut dengan nama Winsta.bat (tipe file: Text)

Setelah selesai, klik ganda file Winsta.bat yang dihasilkan. Untuk pembersihan yang optimal dan mencegah infeksi ulang, scan kembali menggunakan antivirus yang ter-update dan mengenali virus ini dengan baik.

17 Langkah Membuat Ringtone iPhone Gratisan

Oke, berikut adalah cara sederhana untuk mendapatkan ringtone gratis pada iPhone dengan memanfaatkan koleksi lagu yang ada di iTunes:


1. Buka iTunes
2. Cari lagu dalam koleksi iTunes yang ingin dijadikan Ringtone
3. Dengarkan lagu itu, dan cari bagian yang ingin digunakan.
4. Catat waktu mulai dan akhir dari potongan lagu itu, misalnya 1:00 - 1:40. (Panjang maksimal 40 detik)
5. Klik kanan judul lagu dan pilih 'Get Info'
6. Klik Tab 'Options'
7. Masukkan waktu awal bagian yang ingin diambil pada Text Box 'Start Time'. Misalnya, 1:00
8. Masukkan waktu akhir pada Text Box 'Stop Time'. Contohnya, 1:40
9. Klik OK
10. Klik kanan lagi judul lagu dan pilih 'Convert to AAC'
11. Jika berhasil, akan muncul duplikat lagu itu di iTunes dengan durasi lebih singkat
12. Klik kanan hasil potongan tadi dan pilih 'Delete'
13. Pada menu yang muncul pilih 'Keep File' agar iTunes tidak menghapus lagu itu dari hardisk
14. Buka lokasi file tadi, biasanya ada di folder 'Music > iTunes > iTunes Music' (atau sejenis itu) dalam folder dengan nama penyanyi/grup musiknya
15. Klik kanan file tadi dan ganti namanya dengan akhiran .m4r (aslinya file akan memiliki akhiran .m4a)
16. Klik ganda file yang sudah berubah akhirannya. iTunes akan menambahkan file itu ke dalam Library-nya.

8 Tips Menghemat Baterai iPhone

Kehabisan baterai ponsel saat dalam perjalanan memang menyebalkan. Begitu pun dengan iPhone yang banyak fitur multimedianya. Sebenarnya, ada beberapa trik agar baterai iPhone bisa lebih tahan lama.

1. Matikan fitur push notification

2. Matikan push email
iPhone tidak secanggih BlackBerry untuk urusan push email. Berdasar pengalaman detikINET, baterai iPhone hanya bertahan selama dua jam saja jika fitur ini diaktifkan. Buka email pada saat tertentu saja. Ini cukup membantu menghemat baterai ponsel.

3. Matikan fitur yang tidak digunakan
Matikan fitur Wifi dan 3G jika sedang tidak digunakan dalam perjalanan. Ini cukup bikin baterai cepat habis. Begitu pun aplikasi lain yang harus diatur manual. Segera matikan aplikasi yang tidak terpakai.

4. Matikan backgroud task
Para pengguna tidak seharusnya melakukan ini, tapi sekarang iPhone dengan iOS4 sudah bisa digunakan secara multitasking jadi bisa dengan mudah menemukan aplikasi yang memakan baterai banyak.

5. Atur kecerahan layar secara otomatis
Bila pengguna berada dalam ruang sedikit gelap maka layar iPhone akan lebih terang untuk memudah penglihatan. Begitupun sebaliknya, saat gelap layar akan redup. Faktor brightness sangat berpengaruh terhadap performa baterai.

6. Perhatikan feedback game
Banyak game yang memanfaatkan fitur getar pada iPhone untuk mensimulasikan feedback, tentunya ini akan memboroskan baterai ponsel. Matikan saja fitur getarnya.

7. Persiapkan baterai cadangan

8. Sinkronkan iPhone secara berkala

Langkah 1
Yang pertama dilakukan, pengguna diharuskan men-jailbreak iOS device masing-masing. Gunakan JailbreakMe untuk iPhone 4 dan 3GS dan iPad.

Langkah 2
Berikutnya pengguna diharuskan menginstall OpenSSH. Buka Cydia, pilih tab ’search’ dan carilah opsi ‘OpenSSH’. Install aplikasinya dan restart iPhone.


Langkah 3
Koneksikan iPhone dengan PC. Pastikan iTunes tidak berjalan.

Langkah 4
Unduh dan install Cyberduck untuk Mac atau WinSCP untuk Windows. Ikuti langkah di bawah ini:

Navigasikan ke direktori /var/root/Media, dan buatlah folder baru bernama ‘Cydia’. Dalam folder tersebut buat folder baru lagi bernama ‘AutoInstall’.


Langkah 7
Copy file Frash-0.02.deb ke folder ‘AutoInstall’.



Langkah 8
Restart iPhone dan kita sudah selesai. Cobalah untuk mencoba mengakses situs yang menggunakan Flash.

Malware Pengirim SMS Terdeteksi di Ponsel Android

Malware (program jahat) patut diwaspadai karena keberadaannya kian merambah ke berbagai perangkat, termasuk ponsel Android. Hal ini dibuktikan oleh hasil temuan Kaspersky yang mendapati malware pada ponsel dengan sistem operasi dari Google.

"Malware bernama 'Trojan-SMS.AndroidOS.FakePlayer.a' muncul sebagai aplikasi media player pada umumnya, namun dapat mengirim SMS ke nomor premium tanpa sepengetahuan pengguna," ujar Mobile Research Group Manager Kaspersky Lab Denis Maslennikov. Kaspersky bahkan mengklaim temuannya merupakan malware pertama yang pernah ditemukan pada ponsel Android

Maka tidak mengherankan jika Kaspersky kemudian memasukkan malware berukuran 13 Kbytes tersebut ke dalam database antivirus mereka. Padahal Kaspersky sendiri tidak memiliki produk solusi antivirus untuk perangkat berbasis Android. Dikutip dari PC World, Rabu (11/8/2010), hal ini kemudian mendorong Kaspersky untuk membuat antivirus khusus Android yang kabarnya akan dirilis awal 2011.

Sebagai tambahan, Maslennikov menyarankan agar pengguna berhati-hati ketika memenuhi persyaratan yang diminta sebuah aplikasi sebelum menginstalnya. Artinya, malware tersebut tidak akan menyebar begitu mudahnya di dalam sebuah perangkat tanpa seizin penggunanya.

YLMF OS:- This is the operating system based on Ubuntu 9.10 and user interface almost identical to the one of Windows XP. The operating system comes preloaded with Wine, Compiz, SMplayer, Firefox and Pidgin.

You can see the original download site at ylmf.org. The site is in Chinese language but still you can translate it into English or any other language using Google translator.

To change the default language to English follow the steps given below.

1. Download and extract the iso file of ylmf OS and replace the isolinux file with the default isolinux file from Cosmic Koala(The OG Ubuntu 9.10).
2. Again make iso file out of it and install it on your computer. The installation process is same as you do for Ubuntu.After getting into the system run this command:
   sudo locale-gen en_US

Get Windows 7 like task bar in Ubuntu with DocbarX

I personally liked the task bar of Windows 7 and wanted it in my Ubuntu as well. Not only because of it’s looks but also because of it’s features. DocbarX is exactly the same thing I was looking for. You can launch, close, mange all your windows from one place using the DocbarX. It also allows you to preview your Windows before bringing them to the front. So if you have opened multiple windows of same application, you don’t get confused between them.

Installation:

1. Install python-wnck, python-gnomeapplet and python-numpy (DockbarX might be able to run without python-numpy, but it shouldn’t hurt).
$ sudo apt-get install python-gnomeapplet python-wnck python-numpy

1b. For previews libgtk2.0-0, libgx11-6 and libxcomposite1 needs to be installed (if they aren’t already). For recent and most used files you need zeitgeist. None of these are needed for DockbarX to run and can safely be ignored if you are not interested in theses features.
$ sudo apt-get install libgtk2.0-0 libx11-6 libxcomposite1 zeitgeist

2. Change directory to where you unpacked dockbarx and run the setup.py install
$ sudo ./setup.py install

3. Add DockBarX applet to panel (kill gnome-panel first if necessary)

You can also run dockbarx in window (meant for debugging purposes, mostly):
$dockbarx_factory.py run-in-window

[How To] Block programs in Windows 7 using Registry Editor

Follow the simple steps given below to block execution of any particular program on your Windows 7.

1. Click Start, and then click Run.
2. In the text box, type regedit, and press Enter.
3. Locate and then click the following registry key:
   HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion \Policies\Explorer
4. In the right side panel right click on some empty area and point to New, and then click on DWORD Value.
5. Type disallowrun, and then press ENTER.
6. Double-click the DisallowRun value that you created in the previous step.
7. Type 1 in the Value data box, and then click OK.
8. Create a new HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion \Policies\Explorer\DisallowRun subkey.
9. Right-click the following registry key, point to New, and then click Key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion \Policies\Explorer.
10. Type disallowrun, and then press ENTER.
11. For each program that you want to prevent users from running, create a new string value in the DisallowRun subkey . Use consecutive numbers to name the string values (starting with 1), and use the executable file name for the program as the data for the string value.For example, if you want to restrict users from running Microsoft Internet Explorer:
    1. Go to the following key in Registry Editor:
       HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion \Policies\Explorer\DisallowRun. Then right click in the right side panel and create a new string value. Type 1, and then press ENTER.
    2. Double-click the 1 value that you created in the previous step.
    3. Type iexplore.exe in the Value data box, and then click OK.
12. Quit Registry Editor, and then restart the computer.
